JCSIS is seeking a passionate and creative Kindergarten Teacher to educate and inspire children aged 4–6. The successful candidate will design engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences that build foundational literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional skills in a joyful classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with the school's kindergarten curriculum and learning standards
Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and a love of learning
Teach foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, science, arts, and social studies using a blend of structured and play-based methods
Assess and document student progress through observation, portfolios, and formative assessments

Communicate regularly with parents through reports, meetings, and daily updates

Support the social-emotional development of each child, modelling positive behaviour and conflict resolution

Collaborate with specialist teachers (PE, Music, Art) to deliver a holistic curriculum

Prepare and maintain classroom materials, displays, and learning corners

Participate actively in parent-teacher conferences, school events, and professional development

Uphold and implement all school policies, including safeguarding and health & safety

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Education (Early Childhood or Primary) or equivalent teaching qualification
Minimum 2 years of classroom teaching experience at the kindergarten level
Strong knowledge of child development theory and best practices in early years education
Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Proficiency in using educational technology and interactive learning tools
Creative, flexible, and student-centred teaching approach
Valid teaching certification/licence preferred
Experience with IB PYP, Montessori, or similar frameworks is a plus
