We are seeking a skilled and motivated Upper Elementary Math Teacher to deliver high-quality mathematics instruction to students in Grades 4–6. The ideal candidate is passionate about making math accessible, engaging, and meaningful, helping students build strong problem-solving skills and mathematical confidence.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, standards-aligned math lessons for Grades 4–6
Use a variety of instructional strategies including direct instruction, inquiry-based learning, collaborative tasks, and real-world problem solving
Assess student understanding through formative and summative assessments and use data to inform instruction
Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners including advanced students and those needing additional support

Provide timely, constructive feedback to students and maintain accurate grade records

Communicate student progress to parents through reports, conferences, and written updates

Integrate technology and manipulatives to enhance mathematical understanding

Collaborate with grade-level teams and curriculum coordinators to ensure curricular coherence

Prepare students for internal and external assessments

Maintain a positive and respectful classroom culture that promotes growth mindset

Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and school community events

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mathematics Education, or a Bachelor's degree in
Strong content knowledge in number sense, operations, fractions, geometry, data, and algebraic thinking
Mathematics with a teaching qualification Minimum 2–3 years of teaching math at the upper elementary level
Familiarity with internationally recognised math curricula (e.g. IB PYP, Singapore Math, Common Core)
Excellent classroom management and student engagement skills
Ability to analyse student assessment data and adapt instruction accordingly
Strong organisational and communication skills
Collaborative team player with a growth mindset
